OGLE, John Joseph (1858-1909)

His special interest in education made him a pioneer in work with schools. His special interest in further education (he was also Bootle's Organizer of Technical Education from 1891) led to the LA Summer Schools held in London 1893-1897. He published The free library: its history and present condition (1897).
